Everybody cares about privacy these days. By default WordPress stores comment data (your name, email and website) in cookies whenever you leave comment. This can be unwanted behaviour - for instance - when you use public computer your data can be seen by other users unless you manually delete cookies.
This plugin adds 'Remember Me' checkbox to the comment form allowing visitors to decide whether their comment data should be remembered next time they comment. After plugin activation this checkbox is unchecked so you will have to manually check it to enable comment data storing.
Due to its simplicity there is a big chance that this plugin will work in earlier WP versions from 2.0 branch.
I have not tested it but you should give it a try.
